How do I get started?
A representative from your office needs to contact Brighter Smiles and request a Doctor Contract. This includes a fee schedule. We must have the Doctor Contract signed and returned to us before any placements can be made. We will also do a thorough intake from you to find out exactly what you are looking for and what your job entails.
Brighter Smiles takes care of all the paperwork. We have a physical copy of all Contractors certificates, licenses and documents. We require yearly state background checks. We verify all state licensures to ensure all are current with no claims filed against them.
How much notice does Brighter Smiles need for staffing?
Brighter Smiles can staff your anticipated needs from vacations, maternity/medical leaves in addition to last minute requests.
Does Brighter Smiles have insurance?
Yes, Brighter Smiles covers each Independent Contractor (hygienist, dental assistant, EDDA) with malpractice and workman’s comp insurance. Your dental office will receive proof of our policies in the mail. All of our DMD’s carry their own personal malpractice policy with a minimum of $1,000,000 per each claim, and a $3,000,000 aggregate.
Does the dental office pay the temp/sub?
NO. The temp/sub will come into your dental office with a time card which needs to be filled out by them and signed by a representative in your dental office. The temp/sub will forward the time card to us. Brighter Smiles pays the temp/sub and invoices your dental office. It’s that simple. Brighter Smiles handles all tax forms.
When is payment due?
Payment is due within 15 days after receipt of invoice.
Are there any other requirements?
We require a 4-hour minimum per each work shift and at least a 24-hour cancellation notice. Our phone lines are monitored 24 hours a day.
Can we request certain temps?
Absolutely. If there is a particular temp /sub that works well in your office you can request them back. If there is a particular temp/sub that does not work well within your dental office you can also request that they do not return. This information is always kept confidential. If you have no preference, then we send you someone who fits your request.
What will a sub/temp DMD do in my office?
We understand that each office has different needs. We try to match up the DMD’s skills to your office needs for the day. Whether its checking off hygiene only, seeing emergency patients, doing extractions, root canals, or basic restorative. WE CAN HELP!
